:The “Moldovan language” is the Romanian language, and the name of the official language of the Republic of Moldova has changed in 2023 from “Moldovan” to Romanian. Besides, on the website of the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova, the “Moldovan language” is put in quotation marks (see https://statistica.gov.md/ro/rezultatele-preliminare-ale-recensamantului-populatiei-si-locuintelor-2024-10077_61626.html). If you will go to that website and translate it into English through the internet, you will see that I am right. One often sees this practice in the Romanian language press of the Republic of Moldova. To be sure, maybe I should have explained that in the footnotes. I will probably do that soon enough. ::Ah I see. Thanks for the explanation! Edit summaries might be a good idea to include for the exact reason I asked you about those edits, and they might save you some headache later. Happy editing! Hi there! I noticed several of your recent contributions [1] [2] [3] [4] include adding quotation marks around the work Moldovan. Is there a reason for doing this you would be able to share? Without motivation understanding, I will admit to being confused about this choice. Thanks! Jiltedsquirrel (talk) 03:35, 15 February 2025 (UTC)
